From the Desk of Mr. Kealy
A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person. And a good Catholic school, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints.
Pope Benedict XVI Dear Star Parents and Families, As we complete our first full week of classes this year, I find the above quote from Pope Benedict XVI to be especially inspirational. The quote is reminding all of us of our duty to truly educate our students, mind, body and spirit! What a great charge and gift you have given us here at Star. We are very thankful for your trust in us with your precious gift(s) from God! Some of you may have heard about our impromptu fire drill on Tuesday. Some of the construction workers, completing work on the elevator in the new parish office, accidentally set off the alarm. Although it was unplanned and our PreK-3’s first day (sorry Mrs. Hawkins and Mrs. Maiocco), the students did a great job evacuating the building and moving quietly to the assembly area at the park. This week, soccer and volleyball began their practices. If your student is interested in participating, swing by the office for the permission slips. Cross country has also started practicing and I’m sure there is still room on the team for students who are interested. UPCOMING EVENTS: Mon, 23 Sept. - MAP testing window opens in grades 2-8.
