From the Desk of Mr. Kealy
“Freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought.”
St. Pope John Paul II 8 Nov 2019 Dear Star Parents and Families, As we all enjoy a long weekend, let us not forget to thank those men and women in our families who stepped up to secure our country and all that it stands for. To all of our extended Star family who have served or are currently serving, we thank you for your service and sacrifice, and as the old Irish blessing said, “May the Lord keep you in His hand and never close His fist too tight.” Yesterday’s Veterans Day assembly went very well. Thank you to all of the Veterans and their families who came to spend some time with us. A special thank you to Gordon Lau for the inspirational speech and to our band and choir for providing the excellent musical background! Finally, I’d like to thank Mrs. Powell, Sr. Daniela, and our Student Council Officers for all of their hard work putting it all together. Great job everyone! Wednesday saw the start of the 7th and 8th grade boys and girls basketball. If you are interested in turning out, swing by the office for a permission slip. Good luck this year to both teams.
