“Remember yesteryear with gratitude. Live the current with enthusiasm. Expect towards the future with full confidence.” –St. John Paul II
November 27, 2019 Dear Star Parents and Families, As this short week comes to a close, we are drawn to reflect on the gift of relationships, opportunities and gifts given to us by our Heavenly Father. Personally, I am thankful for the opportunity you all have afforded me to work here with you and your children. My wish for you this Thanksgiving is for a restful holiday filled with family and friends. Remember, Monday is the end of the First Trimester. Friday, December 6th will be a half day to allow the teachers time to compile the report cards, which will go home on Friday, the 13th. Some of you may have recently received a letter about your student’s attendance. After some deliberations, I decided to send the letters as a reminder/heads up so you are aware of the number of days your child has missed. The intent of the letter was not to shame or accuse, but to inform. There is a connection between student attendance and their performance in school. Ultimately student success is our goal. UPCOMING EVENTS: Mon; 2 Dec - End of First Trimester Fri; 6 Dec - Noon Dismissal - Grading day Thurs; 12 Dec - Advent Store Wed; 18 Dec - Tacky Sweater Day (Pay $1) Thurs; 19 Dec - Last Day to receive help with the Fulcrum Application (please call the School office to schedule an appointment) Fri; 20 Dec - Noon dismissal - Christmas Break Mon; 6 Jan - School resumes Have a wonderful and peaceful weekend! God bless! Kevin Kealy, Principal kkealy@starofthesea.net Comments are closed.
