Dear Star Parents and Families,
As this short week comes to a close, we are drawn to reflect on the gift of relationships, opportunities and gifts given to us by our Heavenly Father. Personally, I am thankful for the opportunity you all have afforded me to work here with you and your children. My wish for you this Thanksgiving is for a restful holiday filled with family and friends.
Remember, Monday is the end of the First Trimester. Friday, December 6th will be a half day to allow the teachers time to compile the report cards, which will go home on Friday, the 13th.
Some of you may have recently received a letter about your student’s attendance. After some deliberations, I decided to send the letters as a reminder/heads up so you are aware of the number of days your child has missed. The intent of the letter was not to shame or accuse, but to inform. There is a connection between student attendance and their performance in school. Ultimately student success is our goal.
