From the Desk of Mrs. Wolfe
Dear Our Lady Star of the Sea School Families,
It is hard to believe that it is already time for us to celebrate Thanksgiving! We have so very much to be thankful for here at school...the gifts of time, prayer, and financial support of our families and parishioners; the incredible weather we have had until now to allow us to be outside since our gym has been unavailable; the many donations we have received for our classroom Thanksgiving baskets for those in need; the Advent Store items that have been contributed for the students' shopping on Dec. 13 in Camerman Hall; the support of our Parents Club and our School Commission already this year; and of course the gift of Fr. Lappe and his time spent with our students at our weekly school Mass and his school visits.
Speaking of the Advent Store, we are still accepting items that the children can purchase, especially for the boys and men in their lives; items can be new or gently used. We also need wrapping paper, tape, gift bags. etc.
**Regarding FREE DRESS days: Our school policy states that girls are not to wear leggings to school, and that goes for FREE DRESS days as well, unless they are covered by a top that comes down to at least their mid-thigh. Also, shorts are not to be worn to school until next May, even on Free Dress Days.
