From the Desk of Mrs. Wolfe
Dear Our Lady Star of the Sea School Families,
What a busy week we’ve had here at school! From the Kindergarten Field Trip to Pt. Defiance Zoo on Monday, to the School Concert on Thursday night, and a big trip to Seattle for grades 1-5 to the Mariner’s Game on Wednesday, it’s been a week of celebration as we come closer to the end of the year, and a chance to show off our accomplishments both academically (MAP testing) and musically! Next week our older students will begin their CrossFit semifinal workouts in preparation for the big competition (date to be determined).
This month also brings lots of research for our students’ projects for the annual Culture Fair at the end of May. Grades 6-8 will be presenting their projects on Tuesday, May 29; Grades PreK-4, and 3-5 will be presenting on Wednesday, May 30; and Grades K-2 will be presenting on Thursday, May 31.
Our staff would like to cordially invite our Volunteers to Breakfast on Friday, May 25, immediately following Mass, in our school cafeteria! We so appreciate the many hours you put in to help our students and our staff, and this is just a small way for us to show our appreciation! I hope you can join us that morning!
Please be on the lookout for information about Parents Club for the 2018-19 school year. Thanks to those who have expressed interest in its “revival,” and for many new ideas for activities and meeting times for next year. As parents you play such an important role in keeping so many of our traditions alive, like our Back to School Picnic, Thanksgiving Baskets, Advent Store, Pancake Breakfast….you get the idea!
