From the Desk of Mrs. Wolfe
Dear Our Lady Star of the Sea School Families,
Today marked our first annual "Faith Rally" here at Our Lady Star of the Sea School! Thanks to Sister Maria Caeli, Gabby Herndon, Fr. Justus, Deacon Hamlin, our teachers, our parent volunteers, and our students for all the planning and effort that went into making this day happen! Our students were able to spend time in adoration, do some much-needed service work here at and around our school, and were treated to a fabulous Praise and Worship Concert to finish off the day!
Next Wednesday, May 16, our students in grades 1-5, their teachers, myself, and many parent volunteers will make the trek over to Seattle to enjoy "Weather Day with Steve Poole," at Safeco Field, followed by the Mariners vs. Texas Rangers baseball game! I'm thrilled about the response we've had from all of you, and will appreciate getting your permission slips back no later than Monday so we know exactly who is returning on the 1:30 or 2:50 ferry, and who is staying on later than that. Please remember, if you are planning on staying after 2:50, you are responsible for purchasing your own ferry tickets back.
Our staff would like to cordially invite our Volunteers to Breakfast on Friday, May 25, immediately following Mass, in our school cafeteria! We so appreciate the many hours you put in to help our students and our staff, and this is just a small way for us to show our appreciation! I hope you can join us that morning!
Calling all Talent Show acts! We have scheduled the Talent Show for Friday, June 1, at 2:00 p.m. in the gym. Thanks to all the students who came to auditions this week-we saw and heard a great variety of acts for the show! Students will now just need to "polish them up" with help from Sr. Scott, Sr. Daniela, and Mrs. Powell before the rehearsal for the assembly that will be held Thursday, May 31, after school in the gym.
