From the Desk of Mrs. Wolfe
Dear Our Lady Star of the Sea School Families,
Our 4th graders took a trip to Olympia last Tuesday, and visited and toured the Capitol, met with Rep. Michelle Caldier, and even got to participate in a mock trial. Many thanks to Mrs. Rothlin for organizing the trip, and to Mr. Lozano and Mr. Quebral for going along to chaperone!
Our students are busy getting ready for their upcoming concert on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 6:30. We are going to have students report to their classrooms at 6:15 p.m., and their teachers will escort them to the gym at 6:30. We will have a very short Parent Meeting from 6:15 – 6:30 to share important information about our re-enrollment and registration process for the 2018-19 school year.
Catholic Schools Week is fast approaching, and our students will be participating in all 4 Masses the weekend of Feb. 3-4 as lectors, gift bearers, and helping with the annual Pancake Breakfast in Camerman Hall the morning of Feb. 4. Students who wear their uniform to Mass will earn a free dress day on Tuesday, Feb. 13!
***SAFETY CONCERN – Please drop off your children IN FRONT of the school in the mornings, where our Safety Patrol is stationed! They are there to assist in escorting students to the playground from the car. Our goal is that all students would exit their vehicle after it has pulled up to the curb – not in the middle of Veneta or 5th Street.
Have a blessed weekend!
Jeannette Wolfe, Principal
