From the Desk of Mrs. Wolfe
Dear Our Lady Star of the Sea School Families,
I realized this week that we are exactly halfway through this fast-moving year already! Wow -- how did that happen? I want to congratulate all of you and all our staff for your continued patience and flexibility with the construction work going on around us, and for those of you who are waiting for us to purchase a new bus. Believe me, I was not prepared for the bus to just quit working...we knew it needed to be replaced, but we were really counting on having it through the end of this school year at least. Finding a newer, and a bit bigger bus has been more difficult than I thought it would be, but we have several leads and people helping us. Please pray that we will find just the right bus for just the right amount of money!
As you see below, we get to celebrate next week with Catholic Schools Week! Our Student Council has put together some great activities for our students, and don't worry -- we will have a volleyball game between our staff and 8th graders before they graduate!
This is also the time of year that we visit our neighboring parishes to invite them to our Open House later in February, and many students have stepped up to speak at various Masses. Thank you!
Any student who wears their uniform to Mass on either Jan. 26 or 27, helps with breakfast (in uniform), sings in the choir, or serves on the altar, will have a FREE DRESS DAY on Tuesday, Feb. 5.
