From the Desk of Mrs. Wolfe
Dear Our Lady Star of the Sea School Families,
Students (and their teachers) in grades 6-8 will be attending the March for Life on Monday, Jan. 22. Students need to be at school by 7:15 a.m. and will be back by 3:00 p.m. They must also bring a lunch, and wear their school sweaters. Jeans are OK, and students need to be prepared for rain. Cost is $10, but help is available with funding if that is needed. We want all students to attend!
Our students are busy getting ready for their upcoming concert on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 6:30. We would like students to report to their classrooms at 6:15 p.m., and their teachers will escort them to the gym at 6:30. We will have a very short Parent Meeting, in the gym, from 6:15 – 6:30 to share important information about our re-enrollment and registration process for the 2018-19 school year.
Catholic Schools Week is fast approaching, and our students will be participating in all 4 Masses the
weekend of Feb. 3-4 as lectors, gift bearers, and helping with the annual Pancake Breakfast in Camerman Hall the morning of Feb. 4. Students who wear their uniform to Mass will earn a free dress day on Tuesday, Feb. 13!
***SAFETY CONCERN – Please drop-off your children IN FRONT of the school in the mornings, where our Safety Patrol is stationed! They are there to assist in escorting students to the playground from the car. Our goal is that all students would exit their vehicle after it has pulled up to the curb – not in the middle of Veneta or 5th Street.
Have a blessed weekend!
