Dear Our Lady Star of the Sea School Families,
Well, the numbers are in and we are so grateful for the support you all were last Friday night at the Auction! We raised $45,000 in the Live Auction, $18,000 in the Silent Auction, $9,900 in the Dessert Auction (which will all go to our School Endowment Fund), $34,000 for the Triple Crown Fund-An-Item, and about $8,000 from the Wall of Wine, Raffle Tickets, and Bar, total just under $115,000!!! I also want to thank all of you who either attended or worked that night or did clean-up the next day...the gym and Camerman Hall looked terrific after all was said and done. You will be receiving your Guest Statement from our Auction Team soon.
Our 6th graders will be at Camp Hamilton next week, from May 1-4, doing "Environmental Camp." Let's pray for good weather and safe travels for their camp experience!
On Tuesday, May 8, we will have a professional photographer here on campus to take pictures of our students and our school to be used for future advertising purposes. Please be assured that if your child is listed on the "Do not photo" list, your child's picture will definitely not be taken. Students will need to wear their sweaters to school that day, but they don't have to wear their white shirt if they would rather not.
Our staff would like to cordially invite our Volunteers to Breakfast on Friday, May 25, immediately following Mass, in our school cafeteria! We so appreciate the many hours you put in to help our students and our staff, and this is just a small way for us to show our appreciation! I hope you can join us that morning!
Calling all Talent Show acts! We have scheduled the Talent Show for Friday, June 1, at 2:00 p.m. in the gym. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 8 and Wednesday, May 9, after school in the Music/Spanish Room with Sr. Daniela, Ms. Obray, Mrs. Powell, and Sra. Scott. Please bring the music you need with you to the audition, and remember that singing is either A Capella or with an instrumental background. Practice for the assembly will be held Thursday, May 31, after school in the gym.
