Saints & Scholars Dinner and Auction
A quality Catholic education for our children is a value shared by all Star of the Sea School families. Funds generated by the Saints & Scholars Auction directly support the on-going operation of the school. In addition, these funds provide for scholarships and cover special purchases and programs to modernize our school and keep us competitive.
The Saints & Scholars Auction achieves success because of the spirit of service and active support of many committed volunteers. We parents have the skills that assure a successful auction. It all depends on the time, talent and commitment of each and every one of us. Thank you for joining Our Lady Star of the Sea School and thank you for participating in the Saints & Scholars Auction.

- Does every family need to donate to the Saints & Scholars auction?
Yes, each family at OLSOS has a Saints & Scholars auction obligation. The obligation can be kept by donating an item, or items, of $100+ value. - What kind of items do I donate?
New or handmade items will be accepted. Try to think of items that will generate great interest at the auction. Theme baskets, tickets to sporting events, theatre tickets, vacation packages, services, sacred art, electronics, and gift certificates are some of the possibilities. The goal of the Saints & Scholars auction is to make money for the school. If you have any questions or need help, please don't hesitate to ask! - Do I need to create a theme basket?
No, you can donate single items or a group of items. If you're not comfortable with your packaging skills, the Saints & Scholars committee would be happy to help. - When are the donation items due?
Donations are due by April 19, 2023. - Where do I deliver my donation item?
Bring your auction item(s) to the school office. You will be asked to complete a procurement form which you can download here. This form will ensure that you receive credit for your donation and will help at tax time. When completing the procurement form, be sure to accurately describe and assign a value to the item. - Why do the items need to be submitted before a certain date?
Once donations are submitted, the Saints & Scholars committee needs time to process and prepare the item(s) for the auction.
