Support Children’s Opportunity for Parochial Education (SCOPE)
Save the Date for the 2015 Scope Auction!
Friday, April 24, 2015
A quality Catholic education for our children is a value shared by all Star of the Sea School families. Funds generated by the SCOPE Auction directly support the on-going operation of the school. In addition, these funds provide for scholarships and cover special purchases and programs to modernize our school and keep us competitive.
The SCOPE Auction achieves success because of the spirit of service and active support of many committed volunteers. We parents have the skills that assure a successful auction. It all depends on the time, talent and commitment of each and every one of us. Thank you for joining Our Lady Star of the Sea school and thank you for participating in the SCOPE Auction. OLSOS Roaring 20th Annual S.C.O.P.E. Auction
Hi School Parents,
This year we celebrate the 20th annual S.C.O.P.E. auction with the Roaring 20s! The auction is the school’s largest fundraising event of the year.
Joe and I will be chairing the event this year. We are excited and looking forward to the opportunity. Joe and I have 4 kids. Abby is in 2nd grade, Ben is in Kindergarten, and “the littles”, as I like to call them, Patrick (almost 3), and Cecilia (just turned 2). We definitely have our hands full. Joe has been a member of the Parkland-Spanaway Rotary club in the past and chaired their annual auction for two years. Because both Joe and I work full-time, we’ll be posting when the S.C.O.P.E. office will be open. The times posted are only when Joe and I are available, we have a small number of individuals who generously give their time to the auction, and you can usually find them in the S.C.O.P.E. office.
That being said, in order for the auction to be a success, we need the help of volunteers. Some of you may have helped in the past and some of you may be new families to the school. Whoever you are…we need you! There is no shortage of things we need help with, so please sign up with us as soon as you can!
We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:
A quick reminder for all, if you have not taken the S.E.P. training course for volunteers, please contact the office to find out when the next classes are available. The training is required for all adults who volunteer at the school.
As parents of students at OLSOS, you are responsible for coming up with $100 in procured items for the auction. If you are unable to procure and items, a check would also suffice, as we need money to help pay for incidental expenditures. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call or email. You can contact Sarah Keller in the evening at 360-471-4044, or Joe Keller during the day at 253-861-3539.Thank you and God Bless!
